Full-time creator role. Most days you are at a different BiteOut partner restaurant with a camera — shooting it, cutting it, posting it. The videos you make are how Kathmandu decides where to eat tonight.

About the role

BiteOut puts restaurant deals in front of just over 3,000 people who open the app to decide where to eat, and we are signing new partner restaurants every week. The one thing we have never had is somebody making the videos. That is the whole job. Most days you are at a partner venue we have lined up for you — a momo place in Jhamsikhel, a rooftop in Thamel, a brunch spot nobody has posted about yet. You order, you shoot it, you talk to the owner while you are there, you go home and cut it, and it goes out on @biteout.app and TikTok. Then you look at what the numbers did and shoot the next one better. Our Instagram has 336 followers. We are not going to dress that up — it is the number you are being hired to move, and it is exactly why this is a full-time job and not a side gig. You would be the first creator on the team, which means the account ends up sounding like you. This is full-time and in person, six days a week with one rotational day off. Some shoots are lunch, plenty are dinner, and weekends are when restaurants are worth filming — so the week does not look like 10-to-6. You report to the founder.

The perk

Every meal is on us.

You are eating at a different partner restaurant most days of the week and BiteOut pays for it. That is not a benefit we are dressing up, it is just how the job works. Fuel is reimbursed too. You will eventually get bored of momos. Everyone does.

The honest pitch

The account is small. That is the opportunity.

336 followers, 43 posts, and a handful of reels in the account's entire history — because nobody has been making them. You would not be joining a content machine, you would be starting one, with a partner list that grows every week and a long queue of restaurants nobody has filmed yet. If you want a job where you can point at the graph afterwards and say that was me, this is that job.

@handle or full link. Leave blank if you do not use it.
YouTube, a Drive folder, a personal site, a Behance.
0 / min 30 (max 900)
One per line, and a few words on what each one is. If a link is private or expires, we will never see it — check them.
We have never hired anyone here for their follower count. We ask because keeping an audience is a different skill from making one video.

Your kit

Tick everything you can bring to a shoot tomorrow.
Not every reel needs a face. Plenty of ours would be better with one.

The pitch

0 / min 150 (max 900)
Name the place. The first two seconds. The shots. The sound. The caption. Specific beats clever — this question is most of how we choose.
0 / min 60 (max 600)
There is no trick answer. We want to see how you handle it, because it will happen.
0 (max 400)
One line on why. Anywhere in the world.
